DEMPSEY’S IRISH PUB

Dempsey’s Irish Pub is a Lawrence, Kansas neighborhood pub that was ready for a fresh look without losing its character. While bartending there, I partnered directly with the owner on a light rebrand and product refresh, shaped by what I saw from behind the bar every day.

The project had three pieces. I designed a new, more readable menu so guests could find what they wanted quickly. I created a coupon for promotions at local events, giving the pub an easy way to bring new faces through the door. And I developed a new t-shirt design with an updated type logo that works alongside the existing logo mark, so the pub’s identity feels cohesive without starting from scratch.

The refresh gave Dempsey’s a more polished, consistent look across everything guests touch, from the menu to the merch. As a college student, it was also valuable early practice in evolving an established brand with a real client, balancing fresh ideas with the identity the pub already had.
